Our dog “Louie”
What can I say about our dog Louie…Well, he is a Westhigland Terrier and is weighs around 21lbs (which is a little over weight), and he is white. I remember begging my husband for a dog. For Christmas one year, Scott gave me a pretty dog collar, and a card that said “once we move into our own house/apartment (since we were living at my dad’s), I could get a dog. For a second, I thought it was a joke and there was a dog hidden somewhere in the house, but no…..I had to be patient and wait. So, the day came when Scott, Hadley and I went to pick up Louie. We bought him from an Amish family in Jefferson City. I remember when I first saw him…he was soooo cute. I think a little tear came to my eye. He was such a cutie. After we paid the lovely Amish people, we were ready to go home, and see how Louie liked his new home. Well, I will tell you this, he didn’t like the car we drove home in…..not even five minutes into the drive, he crapped all over the backseat of our brand new car…..poor Hadley was in the backseat with him. I felt bad for her….she kept saying “it stinks, it stinks”…..my husband said to Louie “its ok baby boy, you’re just nervous”….mommy said to husband “pull over and clean that shit up”….it was pretty funny. Well, he got home after a long trip……I think we took him over to my dad’s to play and show him off.
For what’s its worth, Louie is an Ok dog. He is stubborn, and I think he’s deaf or just has selective hearing!!! He can be so sweet at times. When I sit on our couch, watching the tube or what not, he will come lie down behind me, and rest his head on my shoulder…it’s pretty sweet! He loves other dogs, people, squirrels, rabbits and when the wind blows. I would like to get a kitten for him to play with, since I think another puppy would be too much and I don’t think I can go through puppy training again.
